“ We held a Sussex County Association of Realtors Committee event here last night and I can’t say enough great things about this spot. Food was amazing, drinks were creative and delicious and everyone who hadn’t been there before said how beautiful it was inside. Impeccable service and Edna was amazing to work with. We have had nothing but positive feedback from all attendees and we HIGHLY recommend this spot for any event you may want to have. 5 stars for sure! ”
“ I can't say enough good things about my first visit here! The food was wonderful and the fish tasted fresh. Everything we ordered was plated beautifully as well. The atmosphere is great- uplifting music, bright open dining area, with a beautiful view of the lake. And our server, David, was so nice! He had great feedback on drinks/dishes and was extremely attentive. Will definitely be coming back! ”
“ I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Beacon Restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was charming, the service impeccable, and the food absolutely divine. Their crap dip, a unique twist on a classic favorite, was simply sensational. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by crisp bread, it's a must-try for any seafood lover. As for their steak special, it was a true culinary delight. Cooked to perfection, each bite was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Paired with savory sides of mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Overall, The Beacon Restaurant not only offers delicious food but also provides a warm and inviting atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more. I can't wait to return and indulge in their exquisite cuisine again soon. ”
“ Love what they did with the place. What a sweet open floor plan. Food was good too. Had the NY strip, very tasty, cooked perfect and tender. Girlfriend had the chicken sandwich which was crispy and juicy. Great service, was immediately brought to sit by the window where we had a view. Super bonus, the owner came over and introduced himself. Wish this place the best and we'll be back soon. ”
“ I was visiting family in NJ this summer, and if I still lived there this would 100% be my new regular spot. The atmosphere and vibe were fun and casual with the option for customers to boat right up to the restaurant, and easy parking for cars. The food and drinks were delicious, and service was friendly and prompt. We didn’t sit in the bar area but it was spacious and had great views of the water. Would be a fun place for nights out! This restaurant is a must if you’re visiting Lake Hopatcong! ”
“ I had a fantastic experience at the Beacon. First of all, the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Nashville hot chicken sliders and double pork chop! Secondly, the service was attentive and friendly(managers as well!). Lastly, the location on the water, atmosphere and layout is perfect. Check it out, it's definitely worth a shot ! ”
“ Beautiful restaurant. Open and sleek with a touch of country. Wonderful views of the lake from most tables and the bar. Unfortunately it was cold and raining so couldn't take advantage of the outdoor seating. Went for lunch and will be coming back for some of the events they have advertised. The coffee machine wasn't working when we got there but when it started to, the coffee was great. Our waitress was bubbly and very helpful and gave great recommendations on food. We had the brussel sprouts (amazing), calamari (perfectly crispy), and shrimp and grits (loved). For our meals, we had fish and chips, which my boyfriend said was nicely fried, but his Cesar salad was way too dressed. 'S' had the pork chop with a great mountain of mashed potatoes and more brussel sprouts (lucky), the Styx burger cooked to perfection (rice for dad's gumbo would have taken 40min) and I had the Mardi Gras pasta a little too heavy but . I also tried the Paloma and the Antioxidant cocktails. Both were very nice. Also, the bathroom was beautiful and gender neutral. Sinks along the wall and separate 'rooms' house the actual toilets. Ps, sorry, I don't know what happened to my appetizer pics ”
“ We went to the Beacon at exactly 12 pm on a Monday after the big holiday weekend . We were greeted by the loveliest waitress Tess . She explained to us that they were temporarily short handed and she would also act as bartender . She told us it would be her first time tending bar . Well the very capable , polite , well spoken and energetic young woman worked her rear off and everything was perfect . She was a one woman show who most definitely deserves acknowledgment and a raise :) The food was excellent . And the drinks were fantastic ! We will definitely revisit this establishment. Ty Tess ! Good luck in school ”
